About JK9U
At JK9U, our mission is simple — to help people and their dogs build stronger, more meaningful relationships through clear communication, structure, and trust.
I’ve always had a passion for coaching people and helping others succeed. Interestingly, I wasn’t someone who grew up surrounded by dogs or dreamed of being a trainer. My journey started when I brought home my first dog and received all the wrong advice. Like many new owners, I was left confused and frustrated. Fortunately, I found a mentor who completely changed how I understood dogs. Once I experienced the transformation in my own dog’s behavior, I became dedicated to learning everything I could.
I began helping neighbors, volunteering with rescues and shelters, and improving my skills every step of the way. What started as a learning experience quickly grew into a calling. In 2018, that calling became JK9U — a company built on compassion, education, and results.
Today, we specialize in behavior modification and reactivity cases, helping owners struggling with communication, aggression, and obedience challenges. Our training is balanced and relationship-based, incorporating all four quadrants of dog training to create clarity and confidence for both dogs and owners. While we focus on structure and accountability, we never lose sight of fun and engagement — using play, food work, and connection to strengthen the bond between human and dog.
What truly sets JK9U apart is our commitment to community and inclusivity. We understand how intimidating the dog world can feel, which is why we’ve created spaces like our Judgement Free Pack Walks — open to everyone, regardless of experience or your dog’s current behavior. These walks represent what we believe in: education, encouragement, and unity.
We’re not just here to train dogs — we’re here to coach owners, uplift communities, and create lasting change. When people are informed and supported, fewer dogs end up in shelters, and more families get to experience what real harmony with their dog feels like.
At JK9U, we put ego aside and lead with purpose — because the goal is bigger than training. It’s about improving lives, one relationship at a time.
